This guide is :
- To be a practical, easy-to-read information guide
- For church missions committees
(or someone who feels unwillingly stuck with the missions focus)
- On the basics of what an Unreached People Group (UPG) is
- On how to choose a UPG to focus on
- How to start gathering information
- Practical ideas to educate all segments of your church about your people group
I have been working on this document since 1998. It is constantly revising.
The list of people groups yet unreached is constantly changing. Websites
change and websites come and go. New books are printed and others go out of
print. May this resource be a starting place for you in the quest to learn
about Unreached People Groups and how to help others learn also.

An introduction to Diane Wido :
Diane Lahlum became an R.N. and then attended the Alliance Theological Seminary
in Nyack, NY for the purpose of becoming a missionary nurse with the Christian
and Missionary Alliance (C&MA). In 1985 she went to Guinea, West Africa as a
C&MA missionary where she worked as both a school nurse and teacher at the
Telekoro Bible Institute until 1995.
Between 1996-2000 Diane served in a Missions Mobilization role on a district
level, promoting missions education and involvement in C&MA churches through
each district where she worked. She loves resources and networking. Gathering
resource ideas and facilitating the spread of helpful missions information is
what prompted her to work on this resource.
On June 24, 2000 Diane married Rev. Robert Wido, a C&MA pastor who is an active
duty chaplain in the U.S. Air Force. As she serves God now at his side, her
passion for lost people and world evangelism continues. She thanks the Lord for
bringing them together, that he loves serving God and that he encourages her
passion for ministry too.
