The Agni are dispersed throughout the southeastern edge of Burkina Faso. They are a deeply animistic people with strong Muslim, and some Catholic influences. They are sycretistic and tend to mix religions. Near the CMA there is a formal school for training female witch doctors (sorceresses) whose stated goal is to infiltrate and neutralize all Christian influence in the region. There are just a handful of Christians (45) among them. Population: 254,000 |

The Northern Khmer are found in the Northeast of Thailand above Cambodia. They are strongly Buddhist and their social life revolves around Buddhist holidays. Thus far they have been indifferent to the Gospel. The New Testament in their language is near completion. Outreach involves translation work, church-planting efforts and leadership training. Population: 1,300,000 |
Tuesday |
The Kui practice animism with a veneer of Buddhism. Many spirit ceremonies including sacrifices to village spirits, family spirits, and spirits of the forest are held in their society. So far they have been indifferent to the presentation of the Gospel. Population: 650,000 |
