1. Make 1st Sunday of month Adopt-A-People Day. Each family or
individual should dress in some garb of the UPG. A special time
of prayer during the communion service by each advocate dressed
in their native garb.
2. Designate a day as "UPG family dinners" three times a year.
Adopt-a-families will invite non-adopt-a-families to their home
(to church after morning service or on as Wednesday evening
prayer service) for a cultural introduction to their adopted
UPG. Dress and decorate, and prepare cultural foods for that
the adopted UPG would eat. (Provide other foods also) Either at
beginning or end of meal introduce your UPG to the guests by way
of explanation of who they are, where they are, some of their
customs, dress, foods, and language. Pray together for the UPG.
During the meal introduce the Adopt-a-People concept and invite
them to consider adopting a UPG.
